▍ About / Editorial

How we write this site.

The rules we follow when writing copy for Hallandale Tire — what we claim, how we back it up, what we leave out. This is a local service site, not a content play. The writing should sound like one person who actually does the work.

What this site is

A local service business site for a mobile tire truck that runs in Hallandale Beach and North Miami-Dade. The site exists so that someone with a flat tire at 7 PM on a Tuesday can find the business, understand the price before they call, and decide whether the service fits what they have. That's it.

It is not a content site. We don't publish posts to publish posts. We don't write listicles. We don't game search. If a page on this site is worth reading, it's because it answers a question a real customer has asked us on the phone.

What we claim, and why

  1. Pricing comes from one source. Every dollar amount on the site comes from pricing.py, the single authority. No hand-edited prices, no rounding in copy. If the page says $65 weekday evening, that's what the phone quote says.
  2. Hours come from the same source. Weekday 5 PM to 7 AM. Weekend, 24 hours. No daytime weekday service even though customers sometimes ask for it — the truck doesn't run 7 AM to 5 PM on weekdays.
  3. The 15-minute response claim is the only hero stat. It's a target, not a guarantee. If we're on another call when you ring, we say so and give you the wait. That's the deal.
  4. The service area is North Miami-Dade. Hallandale Beach is the most-north point. South of the county line, Broward, Palm Beach — not yet. We don't say "we serve Miami" because we don't.
  5. No invented numbers. No fake years-in-business. No fake tires-serviced count. No fake review count. If a number isn't real and current, it doesn't go on the page.
  6. Services we don't offer don't appear. No run-flat repair, no alignments, no brakes, no lifts. The honest boundary chip is allowed; claiming we do work we don't is not.

What we don't write

The site copy is checked against a list of things that don't belong here. If a sentence fits any of these, it gets cut.

  • "Supercharge"
  • "Unlock"
  • "Seamless"
  • "Elevate"
  • "10x"
  • "All-in-one platform"
  • "Best-in-class"
  • "Game-changing"
  • "Cutting-edge"
  • "Revolutionary"
  • Vague filler that could describe any business
  • Calls to action that don't say what happens next
If a sentence could appear on a SaaS landing page with the company name swapped, it doesn't belong on a tire truck's site. We cut it.

What does belong

  • Specific local references — Hallandale Beach Boulevard, Gulfstream Park, the A1A corridor, N. Federal Hwy.
  • Specific service moments — "your tenant calls the office at 7 PM with a flat in the parking garage."
  • Specific honest limits — "we don't carry equipment for run-flat repair."
  • Plain answers to plain questions — what happens, what it costs, when we can come.

Visual & layout principles

One accent, used once per screen

Orange is for the primary action — the call button. Everything else is paper, ink, and the secondary palette. No purple gradients.

Asymmetric layouts

Heroes are 60/40 or 55/45 — copy on one side, real image on the other. No centered-everything with two stacked buttons.

Varying density

Heroes are airy. Feature sections are dense. Footers are spacious. The site breathes instead of looking like one long grid.

Real area imagery

Photos of Hallandale Beach and North Miami-Dade when we can get them. No stock-photo palm trees with the wrong skyline.

One weird detail per page

A oversized number, a horizontal ticker, a corner-bracket frame. One reads as authored; five reads as noise.

Reduced-motion respected

Scroll reveals and pulses are disabled under prefers-reduced-motion. Content stays accessible without JS.

Sources we use

  • pricing.py — the only source for prices and hours.
  • Operational records — actual service area, actual dispatch capability, actual equipment carried.
  • Permitted business prompt — the approved list of services, prices, and claims. Nothing outside that list gets on the site.
  • Real customer questions — copy is shaped by the questions people actually ask on the phone.
  • Maps and public records — service area boundaries, city limits, road names. Public sources only.

Updates and review

The site is reviewed any time one of three things happens:

  • Pricing or hours change in pricing.py.
  • A service gets added or removed from the approved list.
  • The service area boundary changes (new city, new zone, new restriction).

Outside of those triggers, the site doesn't get "refreshed for freshness." Local service sites that chase publish-dates tend to drift away from what's true. We don't.

Where to send feedback

Editorial feedback (this page's standards, the copy itself, the layout choices) goes to [email protected]. Factual corrections are handled under the corrections policy. Service complaints go to the main phone line.
